Weapon Stat Rebalance
Alters weapons of the same caliber to do similar damage, with slight variation based on barrel length.
This mod aims to make the games guns a bit more “realistic”, by basing damage and penetration off of average muzzle velocity for a given caliber as well as bullet weight. There are variations between guns both due to different guns often having slightly different velocity due to barrel length and differences in chambers, but also because if all the weapons of a given caliber were the same there would be no reason to look for new weapons.
This is generally a nerf to most pistol caliber weapons and a buff to most rifle caliber weapons. Grenades and other “special” weaponry have been left untouched.

9×18- 13 Dam 1.0 Pen
9×19- 17 Dam 1.75 Pen
.45 – 20 Dam 1.5 Pen
5.45 – 30 Dam 2.5 Pen
5.56 – 33 Dam 3.0 Pen
7.62 – 42 Dam 3.0 Pen
9×39- 52 Dam 1.0 Pen
.308 – 85 Dam 4.0 Pen
54R – 88 Dam 4.0 Pen
12G – 140-160 Dam 1.0-1.5 Pen

I decided on making 9×39 a higher damage but lower pen option due to its subsonic nature, it has a significantly lower muzzle velocity with much more of its kinetic energy coming from it’s larger than average bullet weight (5 and 4 times that of the average 5.45 and 5.56 round respectively). It is also larger in diameter affecting a larger surface area of the target. If it is underperforming in the current version Ill adjust its numbers accordingly.
I also havent yet altered caliber modifications on guns, and will have to do that through a separate file that will be attached as an optional update in the future.
