S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Characters: Richter
For nearly twenty years, the Zone has been a place of legend, whispers of untold riches mixed with grim warnings of the dangers lurking within. Some people have sworn they’d never even think of entering its boundaries, while others grew up longing for the day they’d have a chance to explore it.
Richter understands better than most that a real home, a true sense of belonging, isn’t something that comes easily. Fresh out of foster care, he didn’t hesitate. He dove headfirst into the Zone, becoming one of the youngest stalkers to carve out a path for himself. For years, he wandered the so-called “safe” areas, earning a reputation as a reliable guide and making himself known in camps and bars alike. But his confidence was shattered one day, after a mission went wrong, leaving him the only survivor. That was the day his guiding days ended, and the naive boldness with which he’d once approached the Zone was snuffed out. Still, his love for the place never died. Even now, it pulls him in, like an unshakable bond.
When his homeland stood on the brink of losing its freedom, Richter found himself among a rough band of stalkers ill-suited for the challenges they faced. A spark of rebellion flickers in the air, and Richter knows it might be up to him to stoke that flame, to ensure it burns bright enough to bring real change.
