Key aspects of this mod
Changed armors characteristics and their upgrades. Now the exoskeleton is good in physical protection, but rather weak in protection against anomalies, and scientific suits provide excellent protection against anomalies, but have lower protection against bullets. The helmet slot for exoskeletons has been unlocked and the icons have been changed accordingly.
Custom armors drop. It is now possible to independently specify the chance of armor drop and its durability for different factions and NPCs ranks. The system also takes into account the armor worn and drops only it.
Customizable chance of meeting an NPC of a higher or lower rank in a group of NPCs of a certain rank. This allows you to add variety the visuals of NPCs at different stages of the game.

Important Info
If armor drop is enabled, zombies can drop any armor (the corresponding faction), since the game overrides the visuals for zombies, but the armor generator is used like for normal NPCs.
This mod is best used when starting a new game or at the beginning of the story line (before visiting the swamp).
If the mod is installed in the middle or at the end of the game, it is possible to encounter headless NPCs in exoskeletons. You need to wait until the game spawns new ones or updates their inventory.
100% incompatible with mods: Better NPC Progressive Loadouts, NPCs drop armor, Refactor DynamicItemGenerator.cfg (and mods based on it).
Player Voice Modulator Effects is already included in this mod, so it needs to be removed from ~mods folder.
Incompatible with the Separated helmets and armor mod, as it is partially included.
Should be compatible with Project Itemization, Faction Patches, Pillhead and other mods that don’t change armor configs or DynamicItemGenerator.cfg.
Should be compatible with Unrestricted Equipment Upgrades mod as it edits the main config file directly instead of via refurl.

Installation
1. Export files from archive into your “~mods” folder (S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods)
2*. Create empty folder: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\GameLite\DLCGameData\ArmorOverhaul
(don’t copy file from archive to this folder, this folder must be empty for the all time)
3*. Prepare DLC Mod Loader using Herbata’s Mod-as-DLC Loader.

Launch Herbata’s Mod-as-DLC Loader, select the game directory (if it was not already selected), and click “Prepare DLC Mod Loader”.
Check that you have HerbatasDLCModLoader.pak file in the ~mods folder

* If you don’t have any official DLCs or your system is not supported by Herbata’s Mod-as-DLC Loader you can skip steps 2 and 3. In this case DLC armor will have default stats.

Uninstall instructions
Delete all mod files from ~mods folder.
