npc’s throw stun grenades
Replaces all thrown NPC grenades (at player) to stun the player (slow movement, aim, camera shake,…) and flash their screen white for a second or 2.
Compatible with all mods!! no load order importance!! easy install and uninstall!!
This does NOT change the grenades lethality if it lands near another NPC, only the effect on the pla.
This is a simple mod that i made for my own play through and felt like it was missing in the game, i was tired of running away from grenades instead of it having a more unique effect on me. So i decided to make a stun grenade.
Stun effect will last about 5 seconds and the white flash 1.5 seconds. The effect is only on the player and not the npc, if an npc is nearby the radius they will take damage albeit with lowered values to simulate stun grenade damage!
ROADMAP/STILL LEFT TO DO
Add effects to npc’s too, not only the player. -> i was trying for a few days but there are over 1000 effect types with different values and the most straightforward ones that might work do not work on npc’s. Me, Flic and Wool have had a few sessions where we looked for it but no success yet.
make different grenade types that influence the player (after effects on npc) -> for now it is a stun but looking into making more wild variations. this is in line with our search for applicable effects for npc’s
Add a random chance to be the stun grenade or not -> currently testing it out, it work’s sometimes but cant replicate properly to know if it actually works intended. is a high priority on the list, most likely even the highest at the moment.
COMPATIBILITY
Due to the new way that mods can be paked and loaded (thanks to Flic, LetsWoolGather and Oxide) there is now NO WORRY about compatibility or merge, the mod simply replaces thrown npc’s to have the stun effect described above.

HOW TO INSTALL
Download the zip file
unzip the pak to your stalker 2 mods folder located at:
\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods
