Behold The Mighty M701 (1.1.3)
Buffs The M701 Sniper Rifle To 300 Win Mag Power Levels.
Sadly the devs did not add a true high power sniper rifle to the game, instead we only got the mediocre 308 Winchester and its russian counterparts, but they did add a bolt action rifle, so i made some adjustments to mimic a much more powerful cartridge that is used in rifles like the Remington 700 by military snipers and big game hunters all around the world.
There are already too many similar sniper rifles in the vanilla version of the game and the M701 gets kinda left behind with its low fire rate, now its a very viable option and a big power upgrade for the later parts of the game.
This mod only affects the M701 bolt action rifle and nothing else, i did not change any caliber or any other gun.
It still uses 308 ammo and the tooltip is also not affected, because i am too lazy to change all these things just to buff one single gun (the gun animation would also need a rework to reflect the bigger cartridge).
Changes
1) Double base damage
2) Double base armor penetration
3) Double base bleeding damage and +10% bleeding chance
4) Higher range
5) Reduced bullet drop-off
6) Very fast aiming (also faster movement while aiming)
7) Faster reload (-20%)
Compatibility
This mod changes two files, if your mod changes them as well you got a conflict
1) PlayerWeaponSettingsPrototypes.cfg
2) WeaponGeneralSetupPrototypes.cfg
Installation
Unpack the .7z with a program of your liking (like 7z or similar) and then put the .pak file into your Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods folder (if the folder is missing create it manually, the “~” is needed)
