Better Combat Music
Tired of almost useless and boring combat music in this game? Want to look for a alternative experience? Then this is the mod that you need!!!
When you fight a mutant, a group of bandit or, even worse, a team of Monolith, did you ever think “Meh, this fight was missing something…” I’ll give you the answer: IT’S THE FUCKING SOUNDTRACK!
It is lame, flat, it doesn’t feel immersive, it doesn’t give you the right adrenaline that a gunfight with eretics supersoldiers should have, or the fear of a Pseudogiant rushing to knock you out.
With this mod i’ve tried to recreate the right list for a decent immersion. Now when you engage a gun fight with enemy or mutants, you will get boosted by a injection of adrenalin rush, pumped up by the right beat. While remaining lore friendly, and using the boss fights (scar, strelok, faust) as a example to follow, the combat music now have a more engaging rythm. Most of the trucks are rip off by splinter cell blacklist soundtracks, i think that they were the most effective and lore friendly for Stalker 2.
NO RAP, NO TRAP, NO METAL, NO ROCK, NO OPERA, NO DUBSTEP BULLSHIT.
NO NEED TO START A NEW GAME, COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY VERSION OF THE GAME AND WITH EVERY FUTURE PATCH (AT LEAST TILL THE DEVELOPERS EVENTUALLY MODIFY THE SOUNDTRACKS, BUT IT IS HIGHLY IMPROBABLE)
ALSO COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY MOD THAT DOESN’T CHANGE COMBAT MUSIC, SO YOU STILL CAN USE MODS THAT ALTER MUSICS FOR AMBIENCE OR MAIN MENU.
INSTALLATION
Just put the pak file inside your ~mods folder. If you dont’have it, create one yourself in this path S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks
BE CAREFULL! use “~mods” and not “mods” or it will not work.
UNISTALL
Just remove the pak from the mods folder
FINAL THOUGHTS
Just for info, it was a pain in the ass to find the soundtrackS in this game, unreal engine games are really a mess when it comes to get the game file. I was able to find about 12 tracks that correspond to combat moments… 12 OVER MORE THAN 40000 FILES! ABOUT 6 HOURS OF RESEARCH! AND AFTER CHANGE THE FILE TO A FORMAT (.wem) THAT IS BASICALLY UNKNOW! SO YOU HAVE TO BECOME A FUCKING CYBER ENGINEER AND FIND THE RIGHT APP FOR CHANGE THE FORMAT OF THE FILE!

By the way, sometime it can happen that some tracks are 0.5 slower o 1.5 faster than the base, don’t know why, it’s the game that casually mess around with original files. Shouldn’t be a problem, they sounds good anyway. I’ve decided to not change the boss music, they were pretty ok and have the right amount of adrenaline, so i’ve take them as example to follow.
