Closer Irons Collims Holos and Scopes

Brings the irons, collims, holos and scopes closer to the player’s “eye”. Brings back the more old school feel of how aiming both with irons and optics used to be in games.

Also packaged with my mod that removes the hard coded black ring inside zoom scopes when using custom weapon socket positions for a one stop shop.

INSTALLATION:
1. Use WinRAR or similar to open the zzzzCloserVanillaScopes_P.zip file
2. Move the 6 files inside (zzzzCloserVanillaScopes_P.***, zzzzScopeBlackRingRemoval_P.***) to the Stalker 2 mods folder, mine is “C:\Games\STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods”

This mod is packaged with my Zoom Scope and Optic Black Ring Removal mod, if you download this you DO NOT need to go download it also.

I felt that in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl all of the irons, optics and scopes were way too far away from the character’s eye. I tweaked all of them as close as I could get to my personal preference without the recoil of the weapons making the reticles disappear. I think I got everything set up well except the AK74 with 4x RU scope, on full auto that does disappear after 8 or so shots but until I find a way to tweak the pushback from recoil thats just gonna be the way it is. Short bursts and semi are fine on that gun.

This mod DOES NOT add custom sockets or change what can and can’t be attached to weapons, this is only tweaks to vanilla weapons and their preset scope/optic attachments. ANY weapon mod that changes weapon optic sockets in either .cfg form or .uasset form WILL conflict with this mod. Down the road when some of the other weapon socket mods get more fleshed out I might make compatibility patches for them but for now this will only be vanilla weapons. Custom viewmodel FOV tweaks will also mess with this if you use a value under 1.

This is designed to be as compatible as possible and doesn’t edit anything other than the weapon skeleton .uassets and the scope *glass.uasset in their respective folders. Some reticle mods are compatible, I checked Reticles by Flash and it only edits textures not the models. I also forgot to remove their Acog reticle when taking screenshots, it is not included with this.

I made this for myself and this is my own preferences. I won’t be making custom edits or a version with only scopes moved and the other optics/irons in their default spots.
