Is STALKER 2 Set to Launch on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes, STALKER 2 will be available on Xbox Game Pass. Xbox players can access the game through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while PC gamers can use either PC Game Pass or Ultimate to explore The Zone when the game launches in November.
Amid popular titles like Helldivers 2 and the recently released Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, 2024 has seen fewer major shooter releases. However, one of the most anticipated games of the year, STALKER 2, is nearing release. Developed by GSC Game World, the creators of the original franchise, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the first new installment since 2009’s Call of Pripyat. After delays caused by the war in Ukraine, GSC is finally set to release this open-world FPS on November 20.
Following the surprise console release of the original STALKER trilogy earlier this year, STALKER 2 is set to become one of the biggest hits of 2024. It is currently the fourth most-wishlisted game on Steam, behind titles like Frostpunk 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Hollow Knight: Silksong. With hype continuing to build, many fans are curious whether they’ll be able to experience the game via Xbox Game Pass. For those unfamiliar, Game Pass is Microsoft’s subscription service that provides access to a vast library of games for a monthly fee.
Although all first-party Xbox games are included in Game Pass, GSC Game World isn’t owned by Microsoft, leading some to wonder if STALKER 2 would be part of the service. It’s been confirmed that the game will indeed be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one. Xbox Series X|S users will be able to play through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, while PC players can use either Ultimate or PC Game Pass. Ultimate subscribers can also take advantage of Xbox Cloud Gaming, giving them the flexibility to play across both platforms.
