The vanilla was for telescope/microscope lovers.
Sure we all have these cute little gadgets in the room to read what’s written on the ammo boxes on huge 4K TV
Other mods that appeared didn’t fix the glaring issues:
What gun type is it for? Not readable bullet type. Indistinguishable in the HUD
No decent color-coded boxes. Do I need this ammo or not?
Cryptic accents for FMJ, AP, HP, SS. Not readable bullet sizes, etc.
I spent a significant amount of time redesigning and testing it.
Packaged, I saw that even you can edit them yourself!

Select all those layers (without similarly named guide layers)
Find in the right panel ‘export’ and click on the ‘export 30 layers’ button.

Read the guide below! Here’s a short overview:
Install UE5.1 (not other versions! 5.1.1 is fine I guess too)
Install all necessary SDK, Visual Studio, etc. For cooking and packaging.
Create a blank UE5.1 project with settings from the guide. name it ‘Stalker2’
Add folders Content/GameLite/FPS_Game/UIRemaster/UITextures/Inventory/Ammo
Place PNGs into that ammo folder
Select all PNGs in UE5.1 > Convert to Virtual texture
Create data asset > PrimaryAssetLabel > name of your mod. See the detailed guide below
Cook, Package, and wait for 6 years. When it’s done:
Rename three pakchunk files to your mod name z_editableammo_P, keep file extensions
Move 3 mod files to your mod folder, don’t copy global pakchunks
Test and if it works, enjoy.
If not, read the detailed guide and try again. Good luck!
Or wait 6 centuries until I become knowledgeable enough to automate all of that
Detailed on how to pak assets
Ask ChatGPT for help with that
40h+ spent for meticulously added variations,
components, guides, optimizations, testing, etc.
