Polish translation fixes for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2 – Poprawki translacji do S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2
This is a mod containing many corrections to the original Polish translation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. wich eliminates many errors, typos and correcting many names that are now consistent with the lore and previous 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
Hello to all Polish players! This mod is a heavily modified version of the Polish translation of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: The heart of Chernobyl.
The mod corrects many typos and incorrect translations and names that unfortunately plague our version, but it is not a Polish version made from scratch – at the moment I am focused on eliminating the biggest problems and inaccuracies and on unifying the nomenclature so that it is faithful to what we had in Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat. The mod will, of course, be developed if there is any feedback, preferably screenshots of errors.
I haven’t finished the plot yet, so it’s possible that more versions will appear in the next few days. I am also asking for your understanding and patience as I make the corrections myself, but I am open to possible cooperation with people from our Stalker community who know their stuff.
The mod is compatible with the current patch, i.e. 1.0.3.
At the moment, it is not yet compatible with Mutant Loot, Project Itemization and other smaller mods that interfere with text files because, as I mentioned above, the priority for now is to correct bugs.
It’s also not compatible with the Real Gun Names mod, but the gun names are changed to real ones 🙂
Because it changes our localization file, it is not compatible with other mods that modify these files.
Installation instructions:
1. Place the unpacked mod in the game directory – usually it is DRIVE LETTER:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods, and for the GamePass version it should be DRIVE LETTER:\XboxGames/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl (Windows)\Content\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods.
If we have not installed mods before, we simply create the ~mods folder in the Paks folder. The ~ character in the name is crucial – without it the mod will not work.
2. The unpacked mod already has the file structure needed to place the files where they should be, but if someone prefers to do it manually, just copy 3 files (PolishLocFix_P.pak, PolishLocFix_P.ucas and PolishLocFix_P.utoc) from the unpacked mod package to ~mods folder in the game folder – the path where to find or create it is in the point above.
3. That’s it! You can launch the game and enjoy the corrections, and if you find any errors, please provide feedback on the forum provided above – either via PM or in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.A. topic. 2 🙂
From what I have tested these fixes, a new game is not required, you can add the mod while playing through the game and it should work without any problems, and in case of any problems, just delete the mod files from the ~mods folder.
The mod has not been tested with the GamePass version, but it should work without any problems with it.
