S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl improved colors and made shadows more realistic
Some versions I did as a game reshader using the immersion package, and other versions working with contrasts and colors. This is a pre-launch, I’ll make everything better soon.
### Step-by-Step Guide to Using the Files
**This will make the game look somewhat realistic, but also cinematic in some areas. See how it will look on your PC and monitor. When you install it, all options will be disabled. Disable some and see how it looks.*
### Step One: Download the Necessary Files
1. **Download Reshader:**
– Download the correct version of Reshade [here](https://reshade.me/).
2. **Find and Download the Required File on Nexus Mods:**
– Download the necessary file, such as the “Stalker2 REAL LIFE” example.
### Step Two: Install in the Game
1. **Place the File in the Root Directory of the Game:**
– Place the file in the root directory of the game where the `.exe` file is located.
– **For example:**

2. **Open the Reshader Program:**
– Open Reshader and find the game.
– Select the DX11 or DX12 version.
– Locate and select the `.ini` file (for example, “Stalker2 REAL LIFE.ini”) using Reshader. This should automatically download all necessary settings.
### Step Three: Configure in the Game
1. **Start the Game:**
– Launch your game and go to the open world section.
2. **Home Key:**
– Press the `Home` key to open the Reshader menu.
3. **Settings:**
– Go to `Settings`.
– Under `OVERLAY KEY`, set the key to `Del` (you can choose any key you prefer). This will allow you to toggle the overlay on and off.
– Under `EFFECT TOGGLE KEY`, set the key to `Page Down` (you can choose any key you prefer). This will toggle the effects on and off.
### Step Four: Enable Effects in Reshader
1. **In the Home Tab, Enable the Following Options:**
– For the “Stalker2 REAL LIFE.ini” file, enable the following options:
– ✔️ Curves [Curves.fx]
– ✔️ Tint [Sepia.fx]
– ✔️ DPX [DPX.fx]
– ✔️ Clarity [Clarity.fx]
– ✔️ HDR [FakeHDR.fx]
– ✔️ Levels [Levels.fx]
– ✔️ Tonemap [Tonemap.fx]
– ✔️ DELC_Sharpen [qUINT_sharp.fx]
– ✔️ Technicolor2 [Technicolor2.fx]
– ✔️ Vibrance [Vibrance.fx]
2. **Customize to Your Liking:**
– Now, adjust the settings to your preference.
### Explanation of Each Option:
– **Curves [Curves.fx]:** Adjusts the tone curves of the image to enhance depth and contrast, making light and dark areas more distinct.
– **Tint [Sepia.fx]:** Applies a sepia effect to the image, adding a yellowish or brownish tint for an aged or stylized look.
– **DPX [DPX.fx]:** Enhances color grading and tonal response, adjusting colors to appear richer and more realistic.
– **Clarity [Clarity.fx]:** Improves overall image clarity and detail, making elements sharper and more defined.
– **HDR [FakeHDR.fx]:** Simulates a High Dynamic Range (HDR) effect, increasing brightness and contrast for a more dynamic and vivid appearance.
– **Levels [Levels.fx]:** Adjusts the brightness and contrast levels of the image, allowing control over the intensity of shadows, midtones, and highlights.
– **Tonemap [Tonemap.fx]:** Adjusts the overall tone of the image, balancing colors and brightness to avoid overexposed or underexposed areas.
– **DELC_Sharpen [qUINT_sharp.fx]:** Increases image sharpness, enhancing fine details and edges for a more defined look.
– **Technicolor2 [Technicolor2.fx]:** Applies an effect inspired by the Technicolor process, enhancing saturation and contrast for more vibrant and cinematic colors.
– **Vibrance [Vibrance.fx]:** Boosts color intensity without oversaturating, balancing dull colors and enhancing vivid ones.
