SolidShadow’s Compass Icon Removal
For those who seek to roam the Zone with a more minimalistic compass to guide them! Removes red Enemy Markers and “Threat Bar” from the Compass during combat, or optionally removes all Compass icons (quest, point of interest, trader, etc) entirely.
What’s it do?
This mod contains multiple file options that remove icons from the Compass interface at the top of the screen to varying degrees, mainly removing the Enemy Markers and/or red “Threat Bar” from the Compass during combat. It is designed to be somewhat modular to allow you to customize the level of guidance your compass provides you in the Zone.
This mod contains three separate files to choose from. Each zip file will contain three files for the associated feature; all three of the files are needed for the mod to work properly!!! The unzipped files come in the `.pak`, `.ucas`, and `.utoc` formats.
Files
1. zz_CompassIcons-NoEnemyMarkers_P: Removes the red Enemy Marker triangles from the Compass during combat. Can use with or without zz_CompassIcons-NoColorBar_P.
2. zz_CompassIcons-NoColorBar_P: Removes the red “Threat Bar” from the bottom of the Compass during combat. Can use with or without zz_CompassIcons-NoEnemyMarkers_P
3. zz_CompassIcons-AllRemoved_P: Removes ***ALL*** of the icons from the Compass, including all quest, point of interest, trader, custom markers, etc icons. For hardcore explorers of the Zone only; you’ve been warned! Can not be used with either of the other two files; if you want to use this one, make sure its the only file you install.
Installation
1. Download the .zip files of your choosing
2. Place the .zip files inside your ~mods folder (if you don’t have a ~mods folder, create it in your directory), e.g:
[YourSteam/GamePassFolder]…\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Content\Paks\~mods
3. Unzip the files into the ~mods folder. You should have a `.pak`, `.ucas`, and `.utoc` file for each of the zips you downloaded.
