World on Fire ReShade Collection – Realistic – Vivid Presets – Optional Balanced Cinematic Effects
9 bright and crisp presets ranging from realistic to vivid w/various enhanced lighting, tint-free, balanced color grading, w/optional cinematic effects like depth-of-field, letterbox, film grain, and camera lens emulation on toggle keys, all crated to fit a range of moods that enrich your experience in the zone.
If you like any of the presets in this collection, please come back and endorse the mod (it really helps the mod stand out so others can find it, there’s a lot of fantastic competition out there for Stalker 2 ReShades!). I greatly appreciate each endorsement, huge thanks if you do.
Description and Features
So, this is a collection of nine(9) ReShade presets that range from realistic to vivid with various enhanced lighting and balanced color grading w/optional cinematic effects like depth-of-field, letterbox, film grain, and camera lens emulation on toggle keys, all crated to fit a range of moods that enrich your experience in the zone. I plan to add more presets in the coming days, weeks, and months with more drastic shifts in color grading. I wanted to keep these presets relatively white-balanced and largely tint free outside a soft cool and warm tone overall.
All added effects are on hotkeys for easy and quick toggling when/if undesired (toggle keys listed next to the corresponding effects in the ReShade menu).
Install Instructions
*note: I’m using the default display settings for me – Contrast 50, Brightness 50, Gamma 44. I recommend you do the same and adjust from there if necessary. Cheers.
1.Put my .ini files in your game’s folder where your game’s .exe is:
Steam – “…\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart of Chornobyl\Stalker2\Binaries\Win64”
Game Pass – “…\Content\Stalker2\Binaries\WinGDK.
2. Go to ReShade.me and download the latest version of ReShade (6.3.3 currently), being sure to select the version that says “with full add-on support.”
3. Run the ReShade .exe file you downloaded
4. Select your game’s .exe using the list of games provided in the installer. If you don’t see it there, you’ll have to click “browse” and locate manually.
5. Select the DirectX 10,11,12 option
6. Hit next and when it asks if you want to use an existing preset file click “browse” and select this config file, “1 – Mercs World on Fire – Cool.ini” that file you put in your game folder in Step 1.
7. Go through the rest of the install process as the installer directs (don’t select any add-ons during installation when that menu comes up, unless another mod has directed you to do so). If you installed everything correctly, then you should see a message on the installer like “reshade was installed
successfully”
8. Launch your game. Use the “home” key to open the ReShade menu or whatever key it lists at the top left of your
screen.
9. Go through the prompts shown on screen in the ReShade menu.
a) Choose a preset from the reshade drop-down menu.
b) If you don’t care about having depth-of-field, you’re done. Congratulations, enjoy the presets! <3
c) If you do care about having depth-of-field or want to use other depth-based effects in reshade, please proceed to step 10.
10. Towards the middle of the ReShade menu you’ll see something that says “Edit Preprocessor Definitions”
a. Click that and change “depth_buffer_is_reversed” from 0 to 1 (if it's already set to "1" that's great, just leave it alone).
b. Hit “enter” or click outside the text box so the setting saves. You should see ReShade recompile if its shaders if you did this correctly. Should only take a second or two.
11. COMING SOON, HAVE TO MAKE A VIDEO. Too complicated to explain in text form.
12. Choose whichever preset you want, whenever you want!
13. Profit?
Please refer to the ReShade menu for the toggle keys for each effect. Cheers!
